Bone ham with Black Truffle Mayonnaise

Ingredients

  • 500g ham on the bone
  • 50g honey
  • 50g vinegar
  • Jean Bâton Black Truffle Mayonnaise

  1. Remove the ham on the bone from the refrigerator half an hour before you are going to prepare it. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
  2. Mix the honey and vinegar. Place the ham bone in a baking dish and spread the ham bone with the honey and vinegar mixture.
  3. Place the ham bone in the oven bake for 45 minutes until cooked and nicely browned. Every 15 minutes, spread the ham bone with the honey vinegar mixture.
  4. If you want to be sure your ham on the bone is cooked properly, use a core thermometer. The ham on the bone is ready once it reaches a core temperature of 65 degrees.
  5. When the ham on the bone is done, let it rest under aluminum foil for another 10 minutes. Then cut into nice thick slices.
  6. Serve the ham on the bone with Jean Bâton Black Truffle Mayonnaise and a garnish of pom duchesse, for example.
